πŸŽ‰ 676,767 Servers β€” Ticket King Version 7 is Here! πŸ“£

Published

Hey everyone! Ticket King has now grown to 676,767 Discord servers β€” yes, that's 67, 67, 67. Thank you to every community that's been part of the journey. Version 7 has been rolling out and running strong, and we're finally giving it a proper introduction. It's our largest update ever, packed with brand new features, a complete dashboard redesign, and dozens of improvements across the bot and website.

Our largest update ever: brand-new Applications, Custom Permissions, and Audit Logs, a whole batch of premium tools now free for every server, a mobile-first dashboard rebuild, and dozens of fixes across the bot, website, and transcripts.

Brand New in V7

  • Applications: A brand new panel type that collects an application form instead of a ticket. Set eligibility, questions, reviewer roles, and a log channel, then approve or deny from Discord or the dashboard β€” with automatic role granting and removal.

  • Custom Permissions: Stop giving staff Administrator or Manage Server just to use the dashboard. Pick which Discord roles can access each dashboard section.

  • Audit Logs: A complete history of every action on your server's Ticket King setup β€” 30+ event types across panels, tickets, applications, and settings.

  • Ticket Opener Permissions: Choose what the ticket opener can do in their own channel β€” turn off file attachments, reactions, external emojis, and more β€” without affecting staff.

  • Bot Personalizer (Premium): Customize how Ticket King appears in your server with a custom display name, avatar, banner, and bio.

My goal is for Ticket King to stay one of the most accessible ticket bots out there. I want as much of the core experience as possible within reach for every server β€” which is why this update moves a whole batch of previously-paid features over to free. As I build new, advanced Premium tools, I'll keep finding more value to pass on to everyone. Premium is there for going above and beyond.

Moved From Premium to Free β€” Now Included for Every Server

  • Custom Ticket Naming, Categories & Staff Roles: Set per-option channel prefixes, categories, staff roles, and opening messages.

  • Saved Panel Templates: Save a panel template, and share or import templates by code.

  • Ticket History Viewing: Browse every past ticket with applicant info, claim status, close reason, and rating.

  • Expanded Home Page Stats: In-Progress count, ticket distribution chart, and recent ticket history, now on your home page.

Custom Commands & Panel Configuration

  • Embeds & Buttons in Custom Commands (Premium): Custom commands now support up to 10 rich embeds and 5 rows of link buttons, with role and ticket-channel restrictions.

  • Larger Forms (Premium): Build ticket and application forms with up to 100 questions, automatically split across pages. Free servers get 5 questions.

  • Panel Defaults Inheritance: Set option defaults at the panel level β€” each option can inherit the panel default, fall through to the server default, or override.

  • Per-Panel Ticket Log Channels: Override your ticket open/close log channels per panel, or turn logging off entirely.

  • Global Ticket Numbering: Use one shared counter across all ticket types so numbers stay sequential server-wide.

A Redesigned Dashboard

The V7 web dashboard is a complete, mobile-first redesign β€” every page, panel editor, ticket view, and settings area rebuilt to be faster and fully responsive. Getting a new server running takes just a few minutes:

  1. Run /quicksetup to create your staff roles, a log channel, and your first panel in one go.

  2. Open the redesigned dashboard to fine-tune everything in the new side-by-side panel editor.

  3. Explore Applications, Custom Permissions, and Audit Logs whenever you're ready.

Full V7 Changelog (v7.0.0)

Ticket King Bot

New free features:

  • /quicksetup: A guided setup command that walks you through your staff roles, a log channel, and your first panel, then creates everything in one go.

  • Ticket Opener Permissions: Control exactly what a ticket opener can do in their own channel β€” attachments, reactions, embedded links, external emojis and stickers, voice messages, or slash commands β€” per panel and per option. Staff are never affected.

  • Global Ticket Numbering: A single shared ticket counter across every ticket type, so numbers stay sequential server-wide.

  • Per-Panel Ticket Log Channels: Each panel can override your server-wide open/close log channels, or disable logging entirely.

  • Code-Wrap Question Responses: A new dashboard setting (opt-in, off by default) that renders question answers as tap-to-copy text, so staff can copy an applicant's answer in a single tap on mobile.

  • /unlinksteam: Now takes an optional user, so staff with Manage Ticket permissions can unlink another member's linked Steam account.

New premium features:

  • Larger Forms: Up to 100 questions per form, split across pages automatically. (Free servers get 5)

  • Richer Custom Commands: Respond with up to 10 embeds and 5 rows of link buttons, restrict commands to specific roles or ticket channels, and drop in variables like , , , and .

  • Bot Personalizer: A custom name, avatar, banner, and bio for Ticket King in your server, re-applied in one click if it's ever kicked and re-added.

Improvements:

  • Reworked ticket rating (Premium): The close message now carries a single Rate Experience button that opens a quick 1-5 star form with an optional or required comment, and the staff rating log is a cleaner card.

  • Channel topics on tickets: Text-channel tickets now show who opened the ticket and when, and who claimed it, with live timestamps.

  • View Responses button: Long answers no longer flood the channel β€” the ticket greeting shows a View Responses button instead.

  • Better applications: Application questions can include a short helper description.

  • Friendlier cooldowns: Cooldown messages now read as a natural "you can do this again in…" instead of a raw countdown.

  • Quality-of-life: Custom command triggers are now case-insensitive, animated emojis display correctly in ticket-type labels, and bot copy, localization, and logging got a polish pass.

  • Rebuilt for scale: New bot infrastructure for faster, more stable presence during deploys and at high scale.

Fixes:

  • Fixed race conditions when two staff claim, close, transfer, rename, rate, or re-prioritize the same ticket at once, plus an auto-close issue that could stop some tickets closing under heavy load.

  • Fixed application replies so "already applied," "on cooldown," and "reapplication not allowed" each show the correct message, and fixed editing an application panel locking reviewers out of already-pending applications.

  • Fixed template variables like and being corrupted when was present, channel prefixes differing only in capitalization being counted as separate ticket counters, and ticket button labels over 80 characters being rejected.

  • Reduced false "bot is missing permissions" errors on ticket creation and claiming, with clearer messages.

Website & Dashboard

New free features:

  • Applications: Configure prompt questions, eligibility (account age, server-membership time, required and blocked roles), reviewer roles, and a log channel. Approve or deny from Discord or the new Applications page, grant or remove roles automatically on approval, cap open applications per member, pre-fill returning applicants, and read long submissions on a private responses page. Filter by status, applicant, reviewer, and date.

  • Custom Permissions: Grant fine-grained dashboard access to specific Discord roles β€” across Panels, Tickets, Applications, Audit Logs, Custom Commands, Settings, Statistics, Premium, and the Permissions tab itself β€” without Administrator or Manage Server.

  • Audit Logs: Every administrative action on your Ticket King setup, recorded and filterable by user, action type, and date range.

  • More dashboard controls: Panel Defaults Inheritance, Temporary Dashboard Access Links (30 minutes to 6 hours), Per-Panel Log Channels, Ticket Opener Permissions, and Code-Wrap Question Responses, all configurable right from the dashboard.

New premium features:

  • Bot Personalizer: A dedicated page to set the bot's display name, avatar, banner, and bio.

  • Custom Command editor: Build rich embeds and link buttons, restrict commands to ticket channels, and preview the response live.

  • Larger Forms: Up to 100 questions per form (free servers get 5).

  • Panel Defaults editor: Set default blocked roles, required roles, and Steam integration at the panel level, and save up to 25 panel templates (free servers get 1).

  • Average Ticket Rating Chart: A line chart of your weighted average ticket rating over time, alongside your total rating count.

Now free (previously Premium):

  • Custom ticket naming, categories, staff roles, and opening message β€” per panel option.

  • Saved panel templates, plus sharing and importing by code.

  • Ticket history viewing, with applicant info, claim status, close reasons, ratings, and metadata.

  • Expanded home-page statistics: an In-Progress count, a ticket distribution chart, and a recent ticket history preview. (The dedicated Statistics page β€” extended history, per-staff breakdowns, and the rating chart β€” stays Premium.)

Improvements:

  • A complete, mobile-first redesign of every dashboard page, a unified right-pane panel editor, and a resizable ticket-details drawer.

  • A panel creation wizard with recommended defaults and a step for choosing where the panel is sent.

  • Faster loading, wider ticket-counter-reset access, and a "Use Share Code" option on the Panels page.

Fixes:

  • Fixed reviewer roles being wrongly flagged with a "can't assign this role" warning, and live ticket messages sometimes showing out of order or with raw escaped characters.

Transcript Website

  • Transcripts now live on the main site at ticketking.xyz/transcripts β€” your existing transcript links keep working.

  • Added rendering for Discord system messages (joins, pins), select menus, stickers, inline embed fields, and timestamps.

  • Message buttons wrap onto new lines instead of overflowing, and embed images and thumbnails are properly constrained.

  • Clearer loading and error states, so a missing, moved, or restricted transcript shows a helpful message instead of a broken page.

  • A heads-up banner for legacy V1 transcripts, longer transcript viewing sessions, and a fix so older V2 links no longer 404.
